The 2026 International Livestock & Poultry Exhibition Vietnam (ILDEX Vietnam) successfully concluded in Ho Chi Minh City on May 22. A fast-growing core hub for Southeast Asian animal husbandry, Vietnam features high breeding density and a hot, humid climate. Prolonged summer heat frequently triggers animal heat stress, severely hindering livestock, poultry and aquatic growth and undermining farming profitability. CHELOTA showcased its full lineup of core mineral breeding products at the expo, targeting local heat stress challenges with its tailored nano-selenium anti-heat stress solution. The booth drew intensive attention, attracting numerous local farmers and feed enterprises for on-site consultations and in-depth cooperation discussions.
As a new generation of high-quality selenium supplement, nano-selenium has a significantly higher bioavailability and extremely high safety compared with traditional selenium products. Its acute toxicity is only 113ppm, far better than inorganic selenium (15ppm) and ordinary organic selenium (49ppm), with a wider safe dosage range, suitable for all kinds of breeding scenarios. In high-temperature environments, a large number of free radicals will accumulate rapidly in animals, damaging body functions and inducing stress responses. Nano-selenium can effectively improve the activity of glutathione peroxidase in animals, strengthen the body’s antioxidant capacity and immune level, and fundamentally reduce various breeding losses such as reduced feed intake, slow growth and decreased productivity caused by high-temperature heat stress.
At the exhibition site, many technical persons in charge of local Vietnamese feed enterprises said: "Summer lasts for 5 to 6 months in Vietnam, and heat stress causes extremely heavy economic losses to the breeding industry. Nano-selenium can be widely used in laying hens, broilers, pigs and aquaculture, with outstanding cost performance, high safety and broad market application prospects." Many customers requested product samples and complete technical materials on site, and multiple intended cooperation orders are being closely followed up.
